The Institute of Early Chilhood is part of the Faculty of Human Sciences at Macquarie University. With a history that can be traced to 1898 we are committed to maximising opportunities for young children, families and communities through research, teaching, learning and advocacy.

IEC graduates may be employed as teachers in preschools, (K-6) primary schools and long day care centres. They may also be employed in local and state government departments.
